Cloud Infrastructure

• Responsible for the architecture, documentation, development, delivery, and operations of 25 cloudnative microservices using Go / GRPC / Kubernetes / Kafka/ Postgresql as well as a Typescript / Backbone.js front-end. Scaled real-time data pipeline from 10k to 500M+ daily events. Awarded 5 patents.

• Led a team of 4 remote engineers. Provided technical mentorship and support. Led daily stand-ups, and scrum ceremonies.

• Defined product strategy based on customer feedback, market research, and business strategy. Established product metrics.

• Member of the senior leadership team. Contributed to business and go-to-market strategy. Responsible for technical budget and resource allocation.

• Defined the high-level software architecture roadmap of the company. Led a 15 person technical team in transitioning from a homegrown Python2 / EC2 stack, to a modern Python3 / Kubernetes stack.

• Contributed code under the security and accuracy requirements of a Series B fin-tech startup. Implemented CI/CD with strict linting and testing requirements.

• Youngest member of the technical leadership team. Mentored and supported developers. Provided advice on high-level technical, resource, and budgeting decisions.

• Was Senseware’s first software engineer. Wrote large parts of Senseware’s initial codebase and established many of the initial architectural and data design patterns. Made technical decisions under heavy budget constraints and ambitious growth plans.

• Led a team of two engineers through the ever-shifting priorities and ambiguity of a seed-stage startup.
