Fourth employee on the Aviator team. Wearer of many hats. Owned, designed, and implemented projects from initial idea to MVP to customer validation. Accomplishments include developing Pilot, a low-code framework for developer automations with Aviator; creating a command line tool for Stacked PRs to make code review easier; scaffolding and transitioning to a modern NextJS frontend to enable more interactivity within our product; building out a flexible GraphQL API designed to serve multiple clients (such as the webapp, CLI tool, and external API consumers); and investing in best practices and maintainability via linting, type-checking, and improved automated testing.

Co-founded Pathbird, an educational technology startup to bring interactive, engaging, exploratory lessons for data science and machine learning to college classrooms. Developed the full stack from zero to production use by thousands of concurrent students. Led product direction by speaking to professors and students to discover existing pain points and identify, experiment with, and iterate on potential solutions. Built an elastically scalable infrastructure to allow students to securely run their own code in the cloud from their web browser (supporting thousands of Jupyter kernels at a time with an emphasis on low container startup latency).

Worked within a product oriented team to build a restaurant discovery product to Facebook Lite (an app for lower-end devices primarily in emerging markets) to expand the customer reach. Built features for both the Facebook and Facebook Lite apps, ran A/B tests, and evaluated the performance of experiments on team and company metrics. Supported the team in evolving the existing product to support new types of content within the feed. Reported findings to organization leadership at the conclusion of the intern project with a focus on impact and expanded audience reach.
