Lead a team that developed a first of it's kind face tracing application to apply cosmetics patent:US8498456B2. It was like an early version of snapchat filters but focused on applying cosmetic products. To get this working we worked directly with the academics that wrote the original AI papers on the subject, trained our own AI models and wrote our machine learning algorithms on top of the ideas in OpenCV. We licensed this product to most of the major cosmetics companies. To facilitate this we built a customization layer that enabled the application to be easily skinned based on the ideas of HTML/CSS but built from the ground up around the performance needs of this application.

Started a small consulting company with some friends. We were able to pick up work from some of the largest brandnames in the world while also helping a number of small startup companies build from zero to one. Some of the projects above were started as small consultancy gigs and turned into whole companies. I eventually wrote enough software for some of them that I was pulled in full time and the consulting company fizzed away.

Worked on the websites of some of the largest brands including being a part of some of the largest streaming events and product launches at the time. I was the guy the would fly around to build things quick and solve the problem that others didn't know how to start on. I worked on a number of fashion and media companies in New York, the car companies in Detroit, and a number of international banks and consultancies in Toronto. I learned how to build things fast and what was important to most customers.
