• Transformed the data backfilling system from a synchronous to a concurrent model, significantly improving throughput and processing efficiency, and addressing numerous developer concerns.
• Optimized resource allocation to meet traffic demand by leveraging Kubernetes for dynamic scaling and efficient resource management. Implemented autoscaling strategies to handle varying loads, ensuring high availability and performance during peak traffic periods.
• Primary implementor of a new framework within the Classic Platform Core team to enhance the reliability of asynchronous background bulk job processing, allowing customers to create or modify many records via a single API request without blocking client integrations.
• Improved API performance by implementing cursor pagination, enabling the system to efficiently return hundreds of thousands of results per day. Previously, the API was limited to returning only the first 100 results, addressing a critical customer pain point.
• Developed and implemented a Redis-based concurrency rate limiter, optimizing workloads with wide variance in durations. This limiter is successfully used for unicorn app-server and Resque worker resource pools.
• Identified performance gaps by profiling API requests using the ruby-prof gem, reducing the average latency of initial unicorn requests by ~200ms.
• Reduced API latency by ~100ms (95th percentile) by eliminating unnecessary round trips by fetching multi-job statuses from Redis.
• Added instrumentation for background job payloads and results, enabling the identification of optimal payload limits to protect resources and maintain service stability for all customers.
• Contributed to various tasks that enhanced the reliability, scalability, observability, durability, and performance of the Classic application.

• Contributed to Classic’s Users/Orgs/Groups service team and became a subject matter expert on domain events by implementing new events and resolving various related bugs.
• Improved the 95th percentile latency of an internal API's no-op requests by 50%.
• Resolved numerous bugs, enhancing reliability and improving customer experience.
• Implemented a load testing framework using Scala and Gatling to measure the performance and load capacity of multi-project APIs, with tests running regularly on Jenkins.
• Managed and developed test cases, test suites, and test frameworks for multi-project APIs.

• Worked in the Consumer Products team to create a Ruby on Rails application as part of a continuous integration environment, performing bulk query result analysis on newly refactored application services to ensure backward compatibility.
• Developed Cucumber functional tests for an enterprise user/visitor tracking application system, based on software requirements.
• Enhanced the geolocation and city-state test suite by automating it, which increased the accuracy rate by 8% and improved test execution time by 70%.
• Developed a test harness for Cucumber and a Java automation framework, enabling interaction with Cassandra and MySQL.
