As an engineer on the Vinyl Crowdfunding team, I built external tools to reduce friction for artists looking to release their music physically and internal tools to help my teammates get more done. Later, I did foundational work to enable playlist listening on the web, including caching design for high-churn playlist data, building out the initial skeleton of the microservice back end, and building a responsive front-end layout with Vue. I was a member of the front-end working group, and the accessibility working group.
The stack was a decade-old, completely bespoke Ruby web application with various front-end styles from vanilla javascript and HTML to Knockout with Liquid templates to Vue with Typescript, with version control in SVN, and an array of odd internal tools.
