Back-end (Elixir, AWS, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker) and front-end (React, Redux) development for a Y-Combinator funded B2B SaaS application in the oil quality testing space, focused on ingestion of measurement data from IoT devices in the field and presentation of advanced analytics to our clients..
I joined as an early member of the engineering team and since then we have taken the product from an early pilot project for a single prospective client to being a strong force in the industry well regarded for ensuring customer success. In that time we have:
• developed our own hardware instrument products for measuring centrifuge tube readings in the field, providing automatic water content measurements and annotations on a cost-effective basis unique to the industry
• deployed a fleet of IoT gateway devices to bring the industry in to the cloud, consolidating customer measurement data in to a central service and providing unique insights in improving customer success through improved efficiency, decreased waste, and new opportunities to expand operations
• made multiple successful infrastructure migrations, from a single production Azure instance to automated AWS deployment using Terraform, to a virtualized multi-instance AWS deployment using ECS and Docker, all with minimal downtime to customer operations
