Babel monitored company websites and millions of Internet messages and news articles on publicly traded companies in real-time, combining statistical models of the information flow with traditional price and volume information to generate trading signals. I worked with the Babel Research staff to implement and improve both the underlying infrastructure and existing computational trading algorithms.
