Built and took ownership of a continuous monitoring system to prevent map release outages, while sending alerts and reporting metrics about map data integrity. This system caught several data mismatches over the course of a year.

Migrated filestore tiers, reducing simulation time and saving hundreds of thousands of dollars per year.

Created an end to end mapping pipeline status tracking tool used daily by the mapping operations team.

Fixed a map labeling algorithm by handling geometric edge cases between map tiles, saving hours of manual effort for the mapping operations team.

Designed and implemented a general map metrics BigQuery ingestion pipeline.

• Leveraged various growth strategies and tools including social media, email marketing, presentations, and peer and faculty member networking to grow the user base and awareness on campus

• Strategically assessed growth and performance metrics to improve, change and/or help design new growth strategies

Analyzed clinical RNA sequences from the microbiomes of COVID-19 patients to correlate microbial functions and taxonomic signatures with disease states.

Developed code to parse, summarize, and visualize outputs from open source bioinformatics tools for biologists to review.

• Migrated and refactored big data processing pipelines from older versions of MapReduce to a more efficient Flume framework for building multi stage jobs.
