Oversee all technological equipment/software, making decisions of what to purchase and maintain. Currently on a project to convert church’s financial record into more manageable database driven solution. Planning to develop an mobile interface for more accessibility.

A Leader of technology, interact with a global team of 20 technologists, responsible for department's technical strategic path, software design, SDLC, and automated regression testing framework. Developed common API’s and core application platforms using Java. As a hands-on architect, worked closely with developers advising on every technical aspect of the project designs. A champion of test-first programming to cut down development cost and reduce risk.

• Responsible for technical functional strategy for 6 batch / real-time reporting systems maintained by the 20+ technologist across New York, London and Bangalore.

• Designed and developed automated SDLC process with rigorous regression test—eliminating manual effort from testing and deployment. The process recreated production environment in a development server and tested both production and trunk version of the applications daily. The process was written with core Java and Unix shell scripts.

• Designed framework and common Java API libraries for handling of daily 100+ feed files, real time messaging and multiple databases triggers across many timezone into Sybase database.

• Improved running time of daily batch from 48 to 5 hours with rewriting stored procedure applications to pure Java solutions. The improvement was made possible by preloading multiple large scale (20 gigs) in-memory cache during off peak hours and access them using Java ORM tools.

• Oversaw Java code base exceeding 1 million lines. Acting as a gatekeeper, controlled check-ins through extensive code reviews and negotiating with each project leads to pay existing technical-debt.

Looking to build SMBC Retail Banking Web application from ground up, tasked to represent the bank as a technical SME and drive POC's with third party vendors. With a successful POC, given the responsibility to build eMoneyger, a web banking system with teams from Novell and Oracle.

• Recruited and lead core-development team of 15+ programmers in New York and Bangalore.

• Designed, developed and deployed an on-line J2EE web banking application which exposed SMBC back-end legacy systems to the external retail clients. Legacy systems consist of Montran GPS, Sanchez Profile System, Oracle DB 9i, IBM DB2, IBM Websphere MQ Series.

• Authored core API specifications using UML models and oversaw the off-shore development team.

• Technologies utilized in this project were Java, J2EE server (Oracle 9iAS), JMS (IBM MQ Series), JDBC (Oracle 9i), Novell LDAP for SSO, JSP, Servlets, Struts, EJB (Stateless and Message Beans), XML, ANT, LDAP and PL/SQL.
