Joint Development and Manufacturing (JDM) of Apple iPhone 11/12/13 Top Module
• Developed next-generation iPhone Top Module mechanical design and manufacturing process (stamping/molding/welding/assembly), guided product from conceptual design into mass production through multiple engineering cycles cooperating with cross-functional team
• Supervised big data analysis to understand process capability, identify process risk, and develop corresponding preventive measures
• Drove engineering build failure analysis and corrective action (FACA) and major issue list (MIL) meetings to ensure yield targets are met
• Facilitated the development of new processes and the resolution of current problems using Design of Experiment (DOE) and data analysis
• Participated in reliability tests to evaluate product performance, root-cause failures, and issue FACA reports for corrective actions
• Suggested Design for Manufacturing (DFM) to optimize product design, reduce production costs and complexity while preserving quality
• Led cross-functional teams, facilitated communication, and provided timely and effective feedback to engineering proposals and issues
• Presented in various executive reviews (GM/VP level) on critical production updates and highlighted the potential influence on quality, process, and schedule
• Traveled onsite internationally (30%) to oversee engineering prototype cycles and support line bring up, mass production ramp-up
