Took on greater responsibilities within the Product Strategy team in a new hybrid role. Lead cross-functional initiatives that combine product analytics, software engineering, and statistical techniques to help drive customer insights for Spectacles. Through driving our organization’s in-app instrumentation, data pipelines, and experimental analyses, improve understanding of user behavior and disseminate insights and recommendations to drive meaningful change. Reduced user-cancellations (-5% absolute, -23% relative) and perceived wait time (-8 sec, p50) for one of our core user flows, identified 1M+ conversion-likely customers, and improved our purchase conversion rate by 50% with more representative reporting.

Increased my scope of work within the Labs Automation team to own the continuous-integration flow, end-to-end testing infrastructure, firmware + client integration test reliability, and factory apps. Developed and managed third-party integrations including Github, CircleCI, JIRA, GCS, Stackdriver, ElasticSearch, Sendgrid, and Artifactory during the software development lifecycle. Reduced developer wait time from 60 minutes to 25 minutes (p50) on each PR through designing an improved pipeline with faster firmware builds and optimized job scheduling across our worker fleet. Worked across all stacks to identify and solve problems.

Returned to the Labs Team to continue my work on developer efficiency and software quality. Built a remote-operable, optical test station to collect a comprehensive dataset of Snapcode images and ground-truths for our Snapscan accuracy investigation. Analyzed failures and improved Snapcode detection and decoding algorithms by 50% using computer-vision techniques and fine-parameter tuning. Wrote and maintained core testing infrastructure and software libraries for firmware and client teams.
