I'm a product, design, and animation-minded engineer. I love leading small teams in creating useful products, developing cutting edge experiences, and improving processes. I’m highly self-driven and usually go beyond what is expected.
I lead the team that owns landing pages, surveys, and websites. I set the product, design, and engineering directions while also being an IC. Thanks largely due to changes I’ve made, we have continually exceeded expectations of how fast we have been able to ship and have greatly improved (+20%) customer satisfaction scores for our product space.
I build websites, components, tools, visualizations, and animations for companies like Retool and Glide. I write articles about web tech for Frontend Masters, CSS-Tricks, and my blog. I mentor people learning web animation and front-end development. I act as a product designer for early stage startups.
I helped lead Stripe’s marketing website engineering efforts as an IC and animation domain expert. I helped develop their design system, overhauled the internal ticketing process (result: 200+ tickets in the backlog to ~15), created many of the public-facing pages, led the team’s documentation effort, and led the live events team. 20% of my team there was laid off, including me.
I led engineering teams developing top-of-the-line marketing websites and applications for companies like Cricut and Skullcandy. I also acted as an internal consultant for engineers working on animations and WebGL related features. My favorite idea I proposed and built was an internal repository for our designers to find inspiration and learn about web related techniques. Rally was acquired by Stripe.
