Product designer on the Stripe developer platform, primarily responsible for:

Workbench

• Working with product, engineering, and other designers, I was responsible for bringing Workbench from early concepts through to general availability

• Collaborates with product and engineering to scope, plan, and design new features and iterate on the existing ones

• Responsible for creating and maintaining the Workbench design system and component library

Event destinations, webhooks, and events

• Responsible for evolving the webhooks experience into event destinations, collaborating deeply with product and engineering to move through several beta phases and into general availability

• Assists in the delivery of education material relating to user experience design, including design thinking and problem discovery, user research, information architecture, lo/hi fidelity wireframes, prototyping and user validation

• Reviews student work and provides constructive and critical feedback

• Focused on designing a cohesive and unified developer experience that includes support, product documentation, developer console and platform marketing

• Develops well researched, planned and user validated design with user interviews, usability testing, heuristic evaluations, competitive analysis, and information architecture

• Creates & contributes to design systems and research workflows to establish consistency and promote a high level of standards within the design and engineering teams

• Collaborates with other designers to develop team strategy, vision and process improvements, including project repositories, Slack automations, and Agile and Kanban workflows

• Partners with product, engineering and technical writing teams to conceptualize and develop new, or improve existing features, such as navigation, discoverability, search, and documentation style guide

• Guides product vision and direction with product managers and organization leaders

• Mentors cross-functionally with a focus on growth, goal setting and creating development plans

• Partnered with design and engineering leadership to establish a unified process between design and engineering teams that ensured smooth communication, including project hand-off best practices and collaborative feature development

• Responsible for the grooming, prioritization and estimation of a product backlog focused exclusively on user experience tasks

• Lead the creation of a designer style guide and developer component directory using Storybook.js

• Engaged designers and product managers to provide early stage feature feedback regarding user experience best practices
